We have found most folks prefer a bluer look to their tank as it helps to bring our more colors in their corals. Please remember that bulb choice is ultimately a matter of personal preference and what works for one, may not work for another.
10-12K+: A crisp white color with little to no yellow hue and just a hint of blue
14-16K+: A crisp color with noticeable blue undertone
20K: A strong blue tint * most popular with our customers
Please Note: The Kelvin or color temperature of a bulb or combination of bulbs should only be used as a general rule of thumb to compare the appearance of a light source. It should not be used as an absolute or definitive number.
